Everyone who is recording shows up on the resort’s map, with their speed, how far away they are and what they’ve skied so far.

Directions to a friend
Tap a friend, a pin or a hut: the app finds the way over lifts and pistes, says how long it takes, and offers one without black runs.

“Meet here” pins
Press and hold the map to drop a pin with a note, like “Lunch at 13:00”. Your squad gets a notification and sees the pin for two hours.

Runs and lifts, by themselves
The app tells skiing from riding a lift or standing in the queue, and names each run after the piste you took.

Top speed, average speed, distance, vertical metres, time on runs and on lifts, and the highest point of the day, adding up into your season.

Compare the day or a whole trip by top speed, distance, vertical and runs. When someone sets a new squad top speed, everyone hears about it.

Works without a signal
Download your resort on Wi-Fi before the trip: the map, runs and lifts then work offline, and your day uploads when the signal comes back.

Safety alerts, if you want them
Switch them on, and your squad is told when your battery runs low or when you haven’t moved for a long time.
Pricing
Pay per trip, not per month.
One trip pass covers your whole squad for a ski trip of up to 14 days. One person buys it, and everyone in the squad skis with it. No subscription, and nothing renews by itself.
Your squad’s first ski day is free, with everything.

Every pass is for one squad and one trip of up to 14 days, counted from its first ski day, with everything included. Prices in euros.

With a pass, positions update every 15 seconds on a run, 30 on a lift and 60 standing still. In the free version they update every 2 minutes: that keeps the server light for everyone, and it is easier on your battery too.

Private by design
Your squad sees you. Nobody else does.

Your position goes to the one squad you choose for the day, and only while you’re recording. Press Stop, and it stops.

Hide from the map whenever you like. Your runs and stats are still recorded, just for you.

Friends see your numbers and your runs. The line you skied on the map is only for you.

No ads, nothing sold
SkiSquad runs on one small server of its own. Deleting your account deletes your ski days and everything else about you.
How it works
Three steps, then just ski.

Install it and sign up
Install SkiSquad and sign in with Google, Apple or an email address. That creates your account in a minute; no invite needed.

Get your squad together
Create a squad and share its invite link with your friends. Got a link from a friend instead? Open it, and you’re straight in their squad.

Press Start, and ski
At the lift in the morning, press “Start ski day” and put the phone away. Press Stop when you’re done for the day.
Get the app
Install it on your phone.
Anyone can sign up and try it: your squad’s first ski day is free. SkiSquad isn’t in the app stores yet, so you install it straight from here.
iPhone
The iPhone app comes through TestFlight, Apple’s app for trying apps that aren’t in the App Store. Install TestFlight from the App Store, then open the link on your iPhone.

Got an invite link from a friend? Once SkiSquad is installed, open the link again on the same phone: after you sign up, you’re straight in their squad.

What does it cost?
Your squad’s first ski day is free, with everything. After that, the free version keeps your squad on the map, and a trip pass unlocks everything for one trip of up to 14 days, from €9 for up to four skiers. There are no ads and no subscription.
Who pays for the trip pass?
Anyone in the squad. One pass covers everyone in it, up to the number of skiers the pass is for, so you can split the cost however you like.
What happens when the pass runs out?
Your squad goes back to the free version: you still see each other on the map, updated every 2 minutes. Buy a new pass for the next trip.
Do I need an invite?
No. Anyone can sign up in the app and start a squad, and the app shows you the way. To ski with friends, share your squad’s invite link with them, or open theirs: a friend’s link puts you straight in their squad.
How much battery does it use?
Recording keeps the GPS on all day, so it does take a fair share. Start with a full charge and keep the phone in an inside pocket, because cold drains batteries. On Android, let SkiSquad use the battery without restrictions (the app shows you how), or the phone may stop the recording.
Does it work without mobile signal?
Yes. Recording happens on the phone, and your day uploads as soon as there is a signal again. With a trip pass, download your resort’s map on Wi-Fi beforehand to have the map offline too. Your squad sees you on the map again once you’re back in range.
Which resorts does it know?
SkiSquad knows the runs and lifts of the resorts in Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Switzerland, and the resort maps are updated every week. Recording works anywhere, though: elsewhere your runs and lifts are still counted, just without their names.
